Introduction

This facility provides immediate and prompt first aid and nursing care in the event of sudden emergencies occurring on campus, helping to prevent the worsening of injuries or illnesses.It also plays a key role in promoting the health and well-being of students and faculty by preventing disease, supporting the maintenance of optimal health, and offering health counseling and education. Through these services, it empowers students to make informed and responsible decisions about their health.

Main Duties

  • Height and weight measurement.
  • Blood pressure, pulse, and body temperature measurement (basic vital sign measurement).
  • Health life counseling and health-related inquiries.
  • First aid in case of emergencies.
  • Wound disinfection and treatment.
  • Providing medication and medication guidance for simple symptoms (over-the-counter medications).
  • Planning and operating health promotion programs.

Health Clinic Operating Guidelines

Article 1 (Purpose) These guidelines aim to protect and promote the health of students and faculty by stipulating the necessary matters for health management at our college.
Article 2 (Composition)
① A health clinic (hereinafter referred to as the 'Health Clinic') shall be established within the Student Support Department of our college to provide various mental and physical health services for students and faculty.
② The head of the Student Support Department shall serve as the director of the Health Clinic, and professional staff with a nurse's license shall be employed, with one daytime staff member and one contract-based nighttime staff member assigned.
③ The working hours of the daytime staff shall be 09:00~17:30, and the working hours of the nighttime staff shall be 14:30~22:30. Article 3 (Functions) The Health Clinic shall perform the following duties:

  1. Establishment of school health plans.
  2. Matters concerning health management (counseling and examinations) for students and faculty.
  3. Preventive treatment and health guidance for infectious diseases and various illnesses.
  4. Management of the Health Clinic's facilities, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
  5. Collection and management of health education materials.
  6. Matters concerning emergency treatment and hospital transportation.
  7. Matters concerning health project evaluation and improvement.

Article 4 (Usage Rules) Users of the Health Clinic shall:

  1. Clearly state their purpose and act quietly and calmly.
  2. Obtain permission from the staff before entering if they are not a patient.
  3. Not have someone else pick up medication in their place, but visit in person.
  4. Utilize breaks as much as possible to avoid missing classes.
  5. Observe the Health Clinic's operating hours, which are 09:00~22:30,
    excluding lunchtime (12:00~13:00) and dinner time (18:30~19:30).
  6. Use the stabilization room in the following cases:
  1. In cases where recovery is possible with approximately 1 hour of stabilization.
  2. When it is difficult to return home.
  3. When waiting for permission to leave school early due to illness.
  4. In cases of fainting, anemia, or severe trauma.

Article 5 (Continuing Education) Health Clinic professionals shall be enabled to receive necessary education to enhance the expertise of the college's health program.

These guidelines shall be effective from March 1, 2016.
