School of Engineering & Information Science

School of Engineering and Information Science cultivates future-oriented global talents armed with knowledge and technology required in industrial infrastructure. Composed of eight departments, classes are taught with brand-new apparatuses and materials in the ba¬sis of hand-on experience of practical field. Especially, our network based curriculum provides familiar environment for student to study a major field. Through this course, our school aims to produce engineers with all-round expertise and on-site experience who devote themselves to national development in various industrial fields.

Industrial and Systems Management

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering aims to provide students with practical training opportunities to gain specific knowledge and develop field-oriented skills in dramati¬cally changing world market competition. It is specialized in the area of production/quality control and logistics to make an effective management over industrial systems. The curriculum mainly focuses on the technology that requires in planning, implementing and controlling of the industrial systems.

Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering educates relevant mechanical systems required in an industrial society. This department offers comprehensive training in basic dynamics and applied field as the minutiae majors. The department educates technicians required in the industry by opening various training courses based on advanced equipments and state-of-the-art computers with a variety of S/W for design/analysis/manufacturing and safety inspection. Therefore, the department aims to produce mid-level engineers who devote themselves to national development in various industrial fields.

Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering educates students with relevant theoretical knowledge and technologies required for the development, planning, design and maintenance of key con¬struction industries such as road, rail road, harbor, dam, water and drainage works, and in¬dustrial complexes. Training consists of basic theory, drafting and quantifying using CAD, and structure maintenance, investigation, diagnosis, safety analysis and construction. Graduates can obtain certificates of civil engineering, surveying engineering, construction materials en¬gineering, construction safety engineering and practical teaching.

Cadastral Administration

The specialized goal of this department is to produce the new and creative technicians who will be engaged in the field of cadastral and land management, and will be in charge of the national spatial information projects. This is achieved through the synthetic and systematic educational programs to utilize the new technologies and knowledge including the high-tech surveying system, the land information system(LIS), the geographic information system(GIS), the global positioning system(GPS), and the other geoinformatics.

Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering is designed for stuednts to systematically learn a wide variety of electrical theory focusing on experimentation and training programs, and to enable to adapt quickly to changing industrial environment. Also, it is to cultivate creative and com¬petent professionals through specialized teaching skills of electrical power technology, applied digital technology, installations for electric systems, and Internet application control fields.

Computer and Electronic Engineering

The Department of Computer and Electronic Engineering cultivates competent engineers in traditional manufacturing, information technology (IT), and other areas of a high-tech industry who will adapt themselves to a rapidly changing industrial environment and best serve the nation in the 21st century.

Computer Science and Information

The Department of Computer Science and Information’s goal is to create high quality IT hu¬man resources. The Department operates on a three-year curriculum consisting of two parts: IT technical skills and global professional skills. The aim is to develop engineers with international techni¬cal skills in the fields of high-level programming, database, multimedia and network. Gradu¬ates have the option of pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree through the Korea National Education Credit Bank.

Information Technology and Communication

The Department of Information Technology and Communication educates students on various telecommunication devices like mobile phones and cable TV and also deal with computer networking, TV radar, navigation and satellites. Our mission is to educate students in IT technology so that they can have global mind of professionalism and responsibility.
