School of Arts and Health Care

School of Arts and Health Care aims to develop creative and artistic sensitivity through a wide variety of art education as well as specialized and practical education focusing on the field training. Also, the school consists of nine departments which cultivate competent persons in the scientific and systematical teaching method to improve good qualities of life and health of Koreans and to give the best health service.

Industrial Design

The Department of Industrial Design offers a fundamental design education with an emphasis on creative thought, product, environment and space. The students acquire various design techniques, problem solving and technical abilities through a realistic and practically applied, basic and participatory design education consisting of logical and systematic modeling of ideas and original ideas, technical skills, application of up-to-date tools and specialized technology, site lab, connection with real industry demands, respect for the realities of industry. Students graduate as product and interior designers who demonstrate a high degree of skill and a sense of responsibility to society and recognize the balance between design and industry while re¬specting individuality.

Fashion Textile & Ceramic

The Department of Fashion Textile & Ceramic educates professionals with creative thinking and technical dexterity in the areas of ceramics and textiles to understand the social value of fash¬ion textile and ceramic and to improve the quality of life. The courses of practical instruction and specialization of curriculum cultivate individual creative competence and the technical ability to create the physical embodiment of the ideal. Graduates are employed in the fashion and textile industry and are involved in modern ceramic product development.

Visual Communication Design

In this age of information, the role of visual communication design is becoming wider day by day, and the design educational program is going more specialized. In re¬sponse to such social changes, the Department of Visual Communication Design has produced outstanding professional designers who are creative and spontaneous in the Korean design mar¬ket for many years.
This department has continued to develop specialized educational programs based on graphic design reflecting change of the industrial environment and adapting various high-tech media. Under the educational purpose of our college, students are exposed to business site and inter¬disciplinary through experimental practice with outstanding facilities and equipment.

Music

The Department of Music implements a wide range of education based on development of musical knowledge and technique for the fully qualified musical artist. It also operates and establishes a new course on cultural and arts educationist under supervision of Korean Culture and Arts Foundation to provide a differentiated education program with other institutions.

Contemporary Music

The Department of Contemporary Music aims to foster professional musicians, who are more professional and creative in both theory and performance of the contemporary music, through the education where teaching practical affairs is a priority in order to help students anticipate and prepare for future musicality. The department provides an education which helps improve both a qualification and a capacity as an artist who can function in the field of public music to cultivate artists with personality and culture who are capable of planning and participating in their acquired knowledge in learning fields

Sports and Leisure Studies

The Department of Sports and Leisure Studies aims to raise professional, competent athletes through field-oriented education. There are three fields of study : Sports coaching, sports industry and health healing

Theatre and Visual Arts

The Department of Theatre and Visual Arts focuses on deepening a professional education to cultivate prepared actors. It also expects students to be ready for leading a cutting-edged digital visual art after their completing the course. It emphasis on culturing students for future professional artists who should be capable both of developing self-potentialities and of ex¬ploring essence of arts.

Beauty Art

As the standard of living improves with economic growth in the 21st century, the social interest in the beauty field is gradually increasing. Therefore, the Department aims to provide the over¬all study of beauty in the basis of professional knowledge and skills in hair, skin care, makeup• coordinated management, It has also the purpose of cultivating professional manpower with aesthetic sense that would help provide distinctive healthy beauty to people. Courses are de¬signed not only to train pragmatic skills of beauty practices but also to improve curriculum continuously in order to meet the ever changing industry environment, which will prepare our graduate to contribute successfully to society through local community services and assume leadership roles in industrial and academic professions.

Department of Health and Medical Information

The Department of Health and Medical Information aims to cultivate the most competitive great personality human resources in the field of medical healthcare to improve the nation’s health and the standard of living by offering the highest class of medical healthcare service after fostering future-oriented global specialists needed for medical healthcare environment that is changing rapidly due to the introduction of high-end medical technology and the development of IT and educating talent who can swiftly accommodate to the changes of a new medical healthcare system.
